Healing Meeting this coming Sunday Night

For those of you not familiar with Healing Meetings, this is not a three-ringed-circus where we twist God’s arm and insist He fronts up with health and wholeness! It’s where we come together as family—and unbelievers and skeptics are welcome—and ask Him for His intervention in our lives. We ask with faith in Jesus as our Saviour and Lord. We ask with hope that God will work miracles. But it’s God’s decision as to what He does.

So if you and/or someone you know has a health issue, come along and see what God may do. Join us this Sunday Night at 7pm at the Gibson Hall. We’d love to see you healed.

Many of us at Manaia Community Church have received healing from God in the past, some very recently.

Christmas Day Service December 25th, 2022 – 9am

This year Christmas day falls on a Sunday. Yes you can attend the service on Christmas day, and get back to family to celebrate the day, open presents for the kids, and enjoy a family lunch together. How can you manage to do this?

This Sunday, 25th December the service will be held at 9:00 am, and will be finished by 10:00 am, so you can get home earlier than usual.

There will be no Morning Tea this Sunday to help you be home in time for the special Day.

We look forward to welcoming many from the community of Manaia. All visitors and enquirers are thoroughly welcome, especially those who are visiting Manaia to see family at this time. And don’t forget to bring the whanau with you!

We will see you at the Gibson Hall, diagonally opposite the fire station in Manaia.

We are not holding any Christmas Eve services this year.

Christmas celebrates the birth of God’s Son, Jesus

Christmas is upon us already. Each member of mankind has gone their own way for thousands of years, and look at the mess the world is in as a result. Our lives would be a total mess, too – except for the fact that God the Father allowed His Son, Jesus, to come to earth, and be born as a human being nearly 2000 years ago. He died to pay the penalty for our sin and rebellion, allowing us to come to him as Lord and Saviour – the One who saves us from the rightful punishment for our sins.

So don’t ignore Him this season. He is waiting for you to make Him your personal Lord and Master.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

A Light Party for you and your family

What a wonderful time was had by the children and adults who came.
We will definitely be doing it again next year.

Last year, thanks to COVID, we weren’t able to have our Light Party, so don’t miss out THIS year!

The Light Party is a positive, fun alternative to Halloween. Why celebrate darkness and death when you can celebrate light and life?

Geoff Winter is back by popular demand!

With the world falling apart around us, now is the ideal time to press in to the Lord for victory over our true enemies—the world, the flesh, and the devil!

So come along, bring your lunch, a notebook and pen, and a Bible if you have one (we have plenty if you don’t!) and join us for this seminar.

The Gibson Hall, 50 Tahuri Street in Manaia.

See you there at 09:30 on Saturday!

Rev Chris Barnes has decided to pursue other avenues. We pray God’s blessing.

It is with disappointment and sadness that we write to let you all know that Rev Chris and Elwyn Barnes have resigned from the Manaia Community Church to pursue other avenues of ministry that they believe God is leading them into . We have appreciated Chris’s enthusiasm and innovation and for Elwyn’s help with Junior Church and Whanau, Food and Fun and we pray God’s blessing upon them in whatever God leads them into in the future.
